ALASKA & CANADIAN ROCKIES
DRIVING THE ALASKA HIGHWAY
We have driven 598 miles in the last two days from Dawson Creek, BC to Watson Lake, Yukon. Several observations on the drive thus far is that the climate can change in a few miles as well as the . The first day from Dawson Creek to Fort Nelson was through rain and snow bypassing granola fields and driving thru mountain passes, but today from Fort Nelson to Watson Creek was breathtaking. On the route was frozen lakes, running rivers, hot springs, and all species of wildlife. I am going to let the pictures speak for themselves, although they do not do justice to the beauty of the area.
